Distracted Driving Causes Three-Car Accident
A driver in Michigan looked down and reached for his phone while driving. When he looked back up, he noticed a car stopped in front of him. To avoid a collision with the vehicle, he attempted to swerve away but failed, causing him to rear-end our client. Our client’s vehicle was pushed forward from the impact and struck the rear driver’s side of another vehicle. Our client was transported to Toledo Hospital by Michigan County Ambulance. The accident caused our client to have a crushed pelvis, punctured spleen, and major damage to her spine. Our client also had to be intubated because of the accident. She was in the hospital for six weeks due to her injuries. She currently is a patient at a spine care facility in Colorado. In response to this tragic incident, our firm is actively pursuing a negligence claim on behalf of our client. Our goal is to get our client the necessary support and assistance to aid in her recovery process and alleviate the financial strain caused by the accident. We are committed to advocating for our client’s rights and holding the responsible party accountable for their actions.
Biker Seriously Injured After Getting Struck by Car
Our client was riding his bike on Airport Highway when a driver, moving in the same direction, hit him. Our client was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center by EMS. After being evaluated, he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and a broken fibula in his right leg, which later resulted in surgery. Our client has no memory of the incident. He was required to
do rehabilitation for many weeks. His brain injury is a permanent condition. Charles Boyk and his team are currently advancing a negligence claim for our client to ensure he gets the support and compensation he needs for the damage inflicted by the other driver’s negligence. We are fully committed to defending our client’s rights and achieving the justice he deserves.
Woman Injured While Being Transported to Rehabilitation Facility
Our client was recovering from a prior knee surgery and was wheelchair-bound. She used a transportation company to get to her physical therapy. The driver of the vehicle was on his phone. As the vehicle got to the off-ramp, our client flew out of her wheelchair due to the driver harshly hitting the brakes. Our client hit her head during the fall. The driver transported her to a facility on Airport Highway, where she was not treated. Upon request of the client’s husband, she was transferred to the University of Toledo Medical Center. As a result of the driver’s negligence, our client has head trauma from the accident and has been hospitalized since.
